I have been married for 10 years, I have four kids 8,6,3,1.  They keep me very busy, but I am loving every minute.  I started running after highschool, to get in shape and loose some weight, but now I am addicted to running it is a stress reliever.

woke up at 6:30 being realy lazy today. Did not get out on the road today till 6:50 ran my usual route by my house, not as windy. ran 3.5 in 24 minutes then came home to get my daughter to piano. Then had to go down on the treadmill because of the kids did 5 and a half more miles at a 7:00 pace then walked a quarter of mile for cool down, I don't love the treadmill but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.  I did feel realy good today.

ran my usual route around my house out into mapleton and around the neighborhoods and it is always windy but I felt ok the first three miles 7:40 pace then the next one 7:00 pace then 7:12 then 7:23 then 7:25 then 7:36 then 7:52 then 7:40 as you can tell my legs started feeling realy heavy and I was tired

I wimped out today and ran on the treadmill because I am so sick of the wind.  I ran two miles warm up at 8:00 minute pace then I did three miles at a 6:40 pace then three miles at a 7:15 the three more at a 7:25 pace it wasn't to bad but not my favorite and it seems like it takes you forever

went to spin class today at 5:45 to 6:45 then did strength training for about an hour.  I like to break it up a little bit or I get a little sick of running. then me and the kids rode our bikes to magelbys fresh and then over to my daughters dance class. It was a fun day we also saw the new ice age movie

ran payson canyon today was trying to meet up with mackenzie but i was late. Kristen was there so i ran up with her.  We ran around peetneet for a short warmup and then started up the canyon.  I did not feel good today my stomach and legs were hurting but overall i think we still did pretty well. we ran eleven together and then i came home and ran another four miles they were a hard four miles

woke up at 5:15 and went to my favorite pump class it is an hour and ten minutes long it kicks my butt and my whole body shakes after, so i was not very excited to come home and run i usually try to run before the class but i was realy tired.  so i did seven miles at an 7:45-8:00 minute pace and my legs were burning and aching but i made it through not the prettiest but i will take it

woke up realy late today so was only able to get in 10 miles but i felt realy good today, expect mile 4 my knee kept on locking out.

spilts 7:58, 7:24, 7:15, 7:33, 7:15, 7:10, 7:00, 7:17, 7:13, 7:20 total time of 1:13:50 not to bad hopefullly i can improve every week

now i am going to go boating down at utah lake with brandons family it should be fun

i did not go running until about 8:15 today, the summertime late nights are kicking my butt. I felt great today.  I warmed up two miles on the treadmill at an 8:00 minute pace then i went on my usual route outside, it was realy windy today the first two miles a very strong headwind then the next two no wind the next three windy and the next two moderate the last mile was a good uphill and a strong headwind but i felt realy good.

woke up at 4:45, kristen picked me up and we drove over to east bay and stared by novell and ran west and up by the detention center for boys up around the condos and then ran over into 9th east there is some good hills in there so it was good training.  didn't feel realy good today the first two miles behind my knee was hurting and it kept shooting sharp pains but then it worked itself out. it is always fun to run with someone it makes it go by faster

THIS MIGHT SOUND WIMPY BUT I RAN ON MY TREADMILL TODAY.  I FIND THAT MY KNEE FEELS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN I RUN ON THE TREADMILL AND IT HELPS IT NOT HURT SO MUCH THE REST OF THE WEEK. THEN I COOLED DOWN FOR ANOTHER MILE THEN I HAD TO TEACH BOOT CAMP CLASS TODAY SO WE RAN ABOUT ANOTHER MILE THERE SPRINTING AND JOGGING AND ALL SORTS OF OTHER STUFF AND I AM REALY TIRED TODAY

If you set the treadmill on a one or two percent incline it's pretty close to conditions outside. Definitely not wimpy to run on the treadmill if it saves your knees. It's as close as you can get to normal outdoor running. As long as most days are outdoors treadmill training can work great.

did my spin class this morning it was a great class we did spauts in between hill intervals then after i  did some weight training i  have not been feeling well lately major stomach pains and sore muscles and alot of fatigue i do not know what is wrong with me

kristen picked me up at 5:00 am drove over to payson canyon we warmed up one mile around peetneet then headed up the canyon for five miles came back down five and one more mile around peetneet felt realy good today my legs my breathing so when we got home i went another 6.10 miles up into mapleton and back was going to go one more mile but ran into my neighbor and started talking and then my hamstring tightened up and i figured i better not push it all and all a  great run my pace was a 7:37 and i thought that was pretty good considering the first six were uphill have a good night i am going to bed went to the pool today and i am exhausted

the first two miles of my run were hard, my legs were tired from pump class and i had a strong head wind, then the next five miles i felt better not great but better and the last two were very hard more wind and my legs were done

went out about 7:00 today i warmed up on the treadmill for two miles it helps my knee so much then went outside and decided today i was going to keep a marathon pace for eight miles and i felt realy good today there was a strong head wind at certain times but that was even o.k.

woke up at 5:45 decided to run on treadmill ran 9 miles at not a very good pace realy tired and my legs were sore plus i had to go teach my bootcamp class and i wanted some energy left for the class. but then when i was teaching the class we were warming up jogging around canyon view park and i felt my ankle pop and then i could not walk on it for a while and then it felt a little better

later that night we played in the fiesta days kickball tournament with couples from our ward and it was a blast we had so much fun and we are co champions we tied the other team and decided to stayed tied because we both received the same prizes it was fun

did not start running till nine this morning  was so tired from the kickball tournament. started runnung and immediatley felt my legs espically my hip flexors and i can only think it was from the kickball all the sprinting and stopping and sprinting and stopping and honestly i could barely hold an eight minute mile and my calfs and ankles hurt and i hate to complain about being sore so sorry if anyone is reading this

Rachel, of course I had to read your blog after reading your comment under my comment on Allie's blog. Great racing!!! Right now we are "twinners" in complaints before our big race tomorrow. Not sure if I should just make it a sub-tempo run, but am crossing fingers for a positive rebound. You are one speedy runner!!! Do you know Melanie Biggs Burnham? She grew up in SF (now lives in Lehi) and is 31 with five kids and a very speedy runner as well. Good luck tomorrow. See you there, somewhere : D

decided i was going to rest today cause i am running the speedy spainard tommorow and considering i can barely walk down stairs i thought my legs should have a break. I hope that i can even run the race i might have to take alot of ib profen to relax those muscles i hope i do well but i might do realy bad you never know with these races hopefully i can just do my best

in bear lake this week came up on monday afternoon so did not wake up till 8:30 and then did not start running till 9:00 but it was a great run i felt realy good and full of energy only did seven because my family meaning the whole boyer family we have alot of cousins had a mini mini triathlon we swam a quarter mile and ran one mile and biked 2 miles and it was so fun, i loved the variety and who know maybe i will switch sports my mile run for triathlon was 6:20
